Background

I grew up in a farming community in Alberta and I am of Lebanese and British descent. Currently, I gratefully live on Treaty 7 land in Calgary. This land is the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Sisika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations and Metis Region 3.

Education

I received my BN from the University of Calgary and a BSc from the University of Alberta. I just recently completed an MPH from the University of Waterloo.

Career

I have spent over 14 years as a public health nurse with a focus on school health, well-child clinics and outbreak management.

Interests

I am very interested in communicating with anyone but especially healthcare providers about the important intersection between climate change and health. In my free time, I love trying to grow food for my family and exploring the beautiful city I call home.
