Background

Émilie has been a dedicated CANE member for the past three years, she is currently chairing the Public Relations Committee and holding the position of President-Elect.

Education

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing obtained in 2018, she went on to pursue a Master’s degree in 2020 and is now a Doctoral candidate.

Career

Émilie is a part-time professor at the School of Nursing of the University of Ottawa. Prior to her academic career, Émilie specialized in cardiac care in hospitals and worked in women’s health care in community settings. Her research focuses on the impacts of the climate crisis on the mental health of young Canadians.

Interests

In addition, her interests include critical theory, ecofeminism, planetary health, environmental justice, and social justice.
