Dear CANE-ACIIE Members,
I just wanted to send you a “save the date” for CANE’s 2024 annual general meeting (AGM)!
This year, we will all be gathering on Sunday October 20th, at 9 am PT | 10 am MT | 11 am CT | 12 pm ET | 1 pm AT.
An email will be sent out shortly with a calendar event invitation. If you are struggling to open the invite/view the invite, you can email me back and I will share it again. You can also use the link at the end of this email to log on when the time comes (and don’t worry, we will send reminders).
It’s going to be an exciting AGM this year!
Following this, we will be providing our members with an update on CANE’s charitable status… Spoiler alert: we got it!!! CANE is now a recognized charity!!! 🎉🥳
Other important things happening during this meeting that we need your help with:
- We will be saying goodbye to two very dear board members, Helen Boyd (BC Co Rep) and June Kaminski (Communications Officer), and we will need our members to come help us vote in a few new faces.
- We will also need your help in voting through some changes to our bylaws, but more information will be coming out on this later.
So that’s it for now. Another email will be shared closer to the end of the month that will include the agenda, info on new board members, several reports and other pre-readings, the new proposed bylaws, and more! So stay tuned!!
