August 16, 2023 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT

Climate of distress: youth mental health and climate change

Join us to discuss the impact of climate distress on youth mental health, including key challenges and opportunities.

Join us as we share results from a nationally representative survey focusing on the intersection of climate change and young people’s mental health. This event aims to shed light on the impact of climate distress on the mental health of young people in Australia, and opportunities to better support the mental health of young Australians in the face of this global crisis.

We will hear from a panel featuring experts, health professionals, and advocates in the fields of climate change and mental health. The panellists will draw on their expertise and experiences to discuss climate change and its impact on young people today.

By attending this event, you will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by young people regarding climate change and mental health, contribute to an important conversation, and learn about actionable policy opportunities to support the mental wellbeing of young people in Australia.

We invite policymakers, young people, mental health professionals, researchers and concerned individuals to join us in this event to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and foster a sustainable future for all.

Please contact policy@orygen.org.au if you have any enquiries about the event.
